Just a Small Snack

Every now and then, I am going to show what snacks I purposefully eat and enjoy
Today’s snack is a simple one. Peanuts and chocolate chips. Although I am not a huge fan of nuts I figure they are better for me than eating a bag of chips or candy bar. Plus, the chocolate chips kill any craving I might have.
I use a very small bowl. I mean a very, very small bowl. Someone gave me a gift once of four silicone bowls typically used to hold spices or small items which have been measured out to be used in a recipe. My snack ends up being roughly an ounce of peanuts and chocolate chips along with an 8 oz. glass of water. You may think this is nothing and won’t work for you. Eat the snack pieces one by one and wait 20 minutes before you decide to eat anything else. Most of the time I find myself no longer hungry and the cravings are gone. If I am still truly hungry after 20 minutes, a piece of fruit does the trick!
